Olga Lagutenko, candidate of the art history, President of the Ukrainian section of AICA
International Association of Art Critics (AICA).The Ukrainian section is quite young. It was founded in 1997 at the AICA congress in Dublin. In the program:
The foundation of the National section was realized not only due to Olexander Fedoruk but also by representation of the Ukrainian section of AICA on the International congresses and symposiums. In December 2000, took place the reelection of the section composition and leadership. The list of new members, their CV’s and Biographical Forms were send for examination to headquarter in Paris. In February 2001, the first examination and approval was passed at the Administrative Union. The Administrative Union consists of Presidents of all National Sections, President of the AICA Kim Levin, General Secretary Ramon Tio Bellidoand treasurer Angelica Boumer. The second examination and final approval took place at the International congress in Zagreb at the beginning of October 2001. In 2001 our Ukrainian Section of AICA has received a new possibilities thanks to legalization of its activity in Ukraine. The Organization has passed juridical registration, gained all necessary grounds for full value activity. The main tasks for assistance are:
The Ukrainian section of AICA planes its activity independently, develops programs be means of realization of the artistic projects and gives coordination and organization assistance, law support to initiative critics, art-managers. Proposed projects applications with detailed basing are excepted at the competition ground. The Ukrainian section of AICA realizes coordination function for the Ukrainian art historians to appear on international level. The applications of approved candidates are given for examination to the AICA's headquartered in Paris. Sending in of applications will take place in September 2002.
